As your board member, I believe students’ needs must always come first. I have kept that priority #1 in every decision I have made. Our students need to be able to communicate and collaborate, as well as use critical and creative thinking. Expanding Career Technical Education has given students greater opportunities.
My priorities:
• Safety first! If the students don't feel safe, they cannot learn. If staff members don’t feel safe, they cannot teach.
• Lower class sizes. With fewer students in a class, every student will receive the attention he/she deserves. • Listen! I will be accessible to parents, community members, and staff.
• Guard your tax dollars. We cannot waste a single dollar that your taxes provide.
My family has proudly called Hesperia home for 37 years, and I remain committed to expanding student opportunities through stronger schools. I will ensure community involvement in our schools and foster an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation among board members. Hesperia Unified School District is "Preparing Today's Students for Tomorrow's World."
When I look at our community, I know that we have to put safety first. It is the foundation for everything we want to achieve. And if our dedicated staff members do not feel safe in their workplaces, they cannot do what they do best: teach and support our children. This is a straightforward issue that affects all of us. As your representative, I will fight to ensure that our schools are secure, welcoming environments for everyone. By prioritizing the safety of both our students and our staff, we can build a stronger, more supportive community where our kids can truly thrive.
One of my top priorities is lowering our class sizes. I truly believe that with fewer students in each classroom, every single student will receive the individual attention they deserve to succeed. But achieving this requires us to work together, and that starts with leadership that actually hears you. My promise to you is simple: I will listen.
